Earning success at both the high school and division one college level, he understands the commitment it takes to reach peak performance. Current New Mexico Army National Guard Service Member. Competed on the Fort Bliss and New Mexico National Guard Army Combatives teams; 2008 National Combatives Champion, 170lb, Ft. Benning Ga.
Darrill Schoonover was born June 18, 1985 at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Darrill is a native of the El Paso/Las Cruces area. He began training in Submission Grappling, Kickboxing, Judo and Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 17. At the age of 19, Schoonover joined the United States Army. He also attended New Mexico State University.
Darrill understands the level of hard work and dedication needed to succeed in MMA. His MMA career consisted of competition as both a Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight. With an undefeated amateur MMA record and winner of several amateur MMA titles, Darrill also competed as a professional in both MMA and Boxing. He was a cast member of The Ultimate Fighter: Season 10.
Greg Blackman began training in Judo and Submission Grappling in 2003. Competing in many different
tournaments as well as Mixed Martial Arts. In 2012 he began instructing Judo and is a nationally
certified coach and through his program has produced both State and National Champions. In 2018
he was promoted to the rank of Sandan. He continues to compete in Judo tournaments, recently
taking 3rd place in the USJA National Championship.
Gerry Burgos was born June 16, 1980 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In 2004 he joined the United States Army, where he served two combat tours to Iraq. After that he started training in Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Mixed Martial Arts to stay in shape. He then went undefeated in several Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai competitions, earning several Kickboxing titles.
